"CHILDHOOD" (released in June 2023) is DJ Otsuka's first solo release as a composer, producer and remixer.
Members of RM Jazz Legacy's rhythm section and Japan's top guitarist Yosuke Onuma feature as the lead musicians.

This tune was recorded remotely during the COVID pandemic.
It was inspired by Pharoah Sanders' "Save Our Children", but arranged in a new way, with a sense of both exhiliration and nostalgia.
Utilizing her vast collection of music and veteran production skills, in this track she expresses her hopes for the future for her children.

The B-side cut and sampled the performance parts of all members from the remote recording, It is a club remix featuring percussion by Senegalese griot Omar Gaindefall, combining vocal percussion and djembe, a stark transformation of the original song.
